Have you ever read a ghastly Bible passage, where it looked like God was commanding or approving of something incredibly inhumane, and then wondered if its terribleness was simply a case of it being taken out of context?

I think my heritage is mostly English, maybe some French too. ;-)
I am a pastor's kid who is looking around for a more general and natural spirituality. I thrive when I am connecting with God, creativity, healthy philosophy, solid friends/family/community and the rest of nature. I have spent many years deep within Protestant Christianity, but I am now not as involved in that.
I went to Auburn University and majored in Marketing/Business, but my love is for the liberal arts and creative expression (writing, recording music, making art and acting). I plan to engage the arts more and more professionally in the near future.
I like coffee shops, bookstores, parks, socializing all around and walks in nature. I love history and art, so anywhere that incorporates that is fantastic. I've enjoyed trips to Montana, Hawaii and the Grand Canyon.
My favorite everyday food is sushi and my favorite color is green.
I am always happy to make new acquaintances and friends, so send me a hello or a discussion if you'd like to. ;-)
